COORIDINATOR of the Ijaw Monitoring Group (IMG), Comrade Joseph Evah, yesterday, said that the people of the Niger-Delta were dumbfounded at President Umaru YarAdua’s plan to spend N446 billion in 2008 on purchase of arms and ammunition for the military to allegedly carry on with the Federal Government’s fight against the people of the Niger-Delta, instead of using the money to provide infrastructural facilities and create jobs for the jobless youths.

Evah who spoke to Saturday Vanguard in an interview said: “I know that President YarAdua did not consult his Vice President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, in coming up with this provocative budget on the Niger-Delta, but I want to assure him that the people of the Niger-Delta are prepared for him”.
