Yar’Adua warns Army on indiscipline, missing arms - Nigeria Daily News

President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua has warned that the Federal Government would not tolerate any acts of indiscipline by members of the armed forces.

He gave the warning at the closing session of this year’s Army Training Exercise at the Nigerian Army Training Centre in Kontagora, Niger State.

He decried reports of missing arms, ammunition and equipment in some army formations in the country.

``Some arms and ammunition got missing, it is difficult to believe this because even in training, the army must account for the number of arms and ammunition given. ‘’For them to really find out that some arms are flying as if they have wings, is a thing that we will not tolerate,’’ he said.

Yar’Adua noted that the development was a serious breach of security and directed that all those involved should be made to face the full wrath of the law. Full Story
